NOTE: Just for those who don't know, which will probably be most of you, Elemental Darkness is an RP at ET and it was so popular that I decided to make a branch off of it here.

For questions as to how and what the elements are and key info about the transformations, message me. ([Aeolynn])

Far from the road our heroes walked, a chosen rested. Deep inside a metal covered cave engulfed in 3/4 vacuum laid the waterborne Warwin. The dark and reeking cave echoed with his agony filled gasps for air, his lungs unsatisfied, his heart hurting an unusual pain because though he has felt it every second, at every breath, for the last four years he has never got accustomed to it. At the beginning, he could still hear her, the goddess. But now everything was a fog; He was unfocused and at the same time obsessed, thinking only about two things.
The first was a question,

“How did they know they had to cut off my air supply?” Question which never rested or had an answer in all these four years, the other was the ongoing and replaying of the first year in his mind. Over and over and over again he replayed those memmories; he and his best friend Lee’tak roamed the land getting stronger and preparing only himself knew for what. Lee’tak had no idea but followed him out of loyalty and friendship…but his memory seemed to skip that, skip all his life like it just started on that dreaded day.
He went out for breakfast and on the way back, the tavern was all wrecked from battle. Lee’tak had disappeared and in his place three bornes stood. A void, an ice and a venom…a void, an ice and a venom. Strong ones too, he never had a chance alone. He would then ask himself if Lee’tak had betrayed him…if his best friend was nothing but a spy or something from whoever plotted his kidnapping…and then he would slap his face embarrassed at himself and proceeded to remember the fight. The fight he had lost, looking for a way to win and after that he replayed the goddess’ claims of a hero; another hero she had chosen and was looking for him.

You see, he was absolutely dehydrated because they only gave him enough water to keep his organs running, it pains when there's barely any air for you to breathe right and his wounds were never cared for. The constant replaying of actions and timelines was but a measure to keep him from insanity, he couldn’t ask unanswerable questions, he couldn’t think about times or odds, he could not go insane.
He knew he must be ready to the highest of his abilities for a rescue and for that intent, he stood quietly and patiently repeating this order of mentality over and over and over again, trying to avoid the weakening of his mind. His body had already failed, as weak as it was, and gave in before the pain and torture. All there was left was his mind and the slight hope that came from the un-wavering faith he had in the goddess and her chosen hero.

"Beware!" - Lee'tak read out of a flier, with a dangerous tone, "dangerous blue monster roams the mountains stalking cattle and even men! Anyone who can hunt this winged beast down will receive two hundred gold coins and our people's everlasting thanks. Again, be very careful." He finished in a mocking tone. He laughed a little and showed the flier to Kaelorra and Sen; it had a drawing of the monster in question. It was a fairly roughed sketch that looked like some kind of monstrous bird firing something out of his mouth.

"You know what that is?" Lee'tak asked in a very good mood for he was very pleased.

The small Lightborne shook her head.

Sen however squinted at the picture then shook his head, "No clue, I have never seen something like that before... I wonder what it is..."

"This, my friends, is the biggest lead in my life. This here appeared to Warwin one week after I met him. Much stronger and experienced than MY elemental creature ever was and, of course, very loyal. if she's here, Warwin's in the area. We gotta have a talk with the bar keeper, seems like a drunk doesn't always lie." Lee'tak explained really really relieved, this was it, this was finally it! He just couldn't stop smiling, grasping Kali's hand enthusiastically, "C'mon guys."

Kali jumped up and down for a second before smiling herself, "Do you think he's near?! Do yah?! I hope so!" She giggled before grabbing Sen's hand too and dragging them into the village.

Grimacing, "This may be a Borne-hating town, let us remain... normal." Sen said while he tolerated the woman 'dragging' him.

"I want to talk with our lead before doing my electric search. No need to tire myself for nothing." Lee'tak commented. "And yeah, very good point Sen; But if we can 'remain' normal so can others. I like to always be expecting Bornes to come out of no where all saying 'Gonna gut you like a fish', know what I mean?" He joked, enjoying himself.

They reached the tavern where the bar keeper should be at so Lee'tak told them his plan as fast as he could.
"Alright, I'm gonna go in there and have a talk with the bar keeper. He'll figure out I'm a Borne so I want you two outside in case there are OTHER Bornes around here, like the ones who kidnapped Warwin. If there aren't, I can easily handle it with little Blunty here." He explained, waving his giant metal stick, "You guy okay with that?"

"Fine with me," Sen replied after yawning.

"Sure." Kaelorra said after a few seconds of looking into Lee's eyes, then looking away to the distant hills outside the city walls.

"Alrighty then... watch our stuff. Be back in a flash," Lee'tak said, dropping their luggage on the floor, he heads into the bar and for a moment, its all pretty regular. At the next moment however a battle cry sounds out and things start to break; shouts and screams wail through the windows and even through the walls as furniture gave into the bodies being smacked all over the place. Lee'tak was fighting.

A man suddenly bursts through the door landing on his back, at Sen and Kaelorra's feet, half unconscious. A few more seconds and Lee'tak's shouts could finally be heard from within, "YO! Where the barkeeper at? He didn't answer my question!"

The man lying down opened his eyes at the shouts and looked around terrified looking for the best way to run, trying to think.

Kali jumped into the air, looking as if she was suspended in by strings before she came down upon the man's chest, halting his would-be escape with her sligh weight crashing down on his ribcage. "Answer our question!" She said, snarling to give herself a more forceful look.

"AH!" Lee'tak said, stepping through the crashed door. "I thought I poled someone out of here. Thanks for catching him love." He thanked, before crouching to look the man in the eye. "Alright, let's try this again... a big strong powerful captive, a Waterborne. He's a great friend of mine, I've been searching him for four years and I'm desperatly looking for a tip! By the way, your old pal Stevo sends his regards."

"Oh no...HE told you about me?" The man asked, horrified.

"Ah, I see you know he wants me to hurt you...bad. But you see, I'm in a very good mood and I've heard enough screams for one day so Ima give you a choice. That doesn't happen often so be wary of your reply. One..." Lee'tak poked his head, "-you can tell me what I want to know and I'll leave you to repair the damage your friends did. Or Two, you can tell me what I want to know AFTER I rip off your legs and shut down one of your organs, no vitals I promise. What's it gonna be?"

"herm...what do you wanna know?"

Lee'tak sighed and turned his head to Kaelorra. "Can I borrow your blade?"

"Alright alright! They're holding him on those hills there, and yes, the three Bornes are still with them."
"Where in the hills?"

"I dunno! They arrived last year, I'm the one who provides them with food and drinks and all I know is that they're holding a... 'primary enemy in some place he can't even hope to escape.' Please, let me go?" the man asked, his voice stained.

"Will you tell anyone about us?" Lee'tak asked, getting up.

"Unless they make me an offer very much like yours... I swear I won't!"

Lee'tak smiled content. "Good, finally a little bit of honesty. I'm sorry about your tavern and all, tell your friends not to attack a Borne will yah? If I was having a bad day you guys would leave this world in... heh, a thunder flash." Lee'tak extended his hand towards Kaelorra and courtly said, "We're good my darling, you may leave your chair."

Kali stood and used Lee's hand to launch herself upwards to land on his right shoulder, crouched like a cat, "So, to the hills?"

Shaking his head Sen nodded, "To the hills we must." Aesha growled at the man before looking up at the Bornes and fluttering his wings, lifting him off his paws for a moment before he settled back down on the ground.

"heh, run for the hills..." Lee'tak reminded the expression, grabbing on to Kaelorra's legs, joking "See? You do think I'm a horse!" He smiled happily and set off walking besides Sen.

They reached the area mentioned when the sun was already setting. Landscape gave room to some sort of a building that crawled out of the ground, but still huge with a wall defending it.

"Yep... that's no ordinary mine. I wanna get closer before I scan it. Let's go." Lee'tak asked, moving along.
Getting closer, too close to be safe, if they went all the way up the small cliff like hill, they would surely be noticed. Lee'tak looked up at Kali and asked,
"Hey there beautiful. Can you like, zap up there, take a look and zap back? We need to know their numbers at least roughly don't you two agree?"

"Yes," Sen said, his eyes casted to the sky as his face revealed no emotion.

Nodding, Kali looked around for a second. Without the flash or theatrics, she transformed, her hair turning gold that seeped down from her roots and her eyes darkened to a bloodlike red. "Be back in a minute..." She said, disappearing and becoming invisible.

When she returned, her eyes were wide with a mix of excitement and fear, "I can't believe it!" Kali sat on Lee'tak's shoulders with her head propped up in her hand with her elbow on Lee's head, "I saw an actual Voidborne!!! I know the insignia of the Void God and it was on his tunic!" Her body started to tremble as her fear took over, "Is it true they can suck up our element? How can we fight one like that? He looked quite formidable too, I thought they were supposed to be bodily weak-like? There were two others also, two other Bornes, but I could not tell what kind." Kaelorra played with Lee's hair for a second, "They were playing a game between the wall and the actual... thing."

"A void? I don't like voids... Sen, do you happen to know about Voidbornes? And more importantly, are you sure you can handle one?" Lee'tak asked thinking, three bornes... one for each, we gotta be careful.

"Voids-" Sen spat out with slight malice, "They're powerful enough, they have no transformation, so you can't tell when they are going to strike..." The soft ring of a bell sounded and Sen's eyes widened, "The power of the Bells will help me, the Voidborne is mine. Using the bells I will hide my presence as a Borne till the last moment, then I will burn him... Aesha will help someone else if need be because I don't want the Void to target him, he's vulnerable while I am not." The Pyre fox crooned and rubbed his body against Sen's leg.

"Right, me and Kali can probably the handle the others." Lee'tak thought about it once more. "Right, we can't plan any further if we don't know where Warwin is." Lee'tak picked up Kali and put her gently on her feet on the ground, then sitting in the lotus position. "I'll try and find him, you do something meanwhile and please don't interrupt me..."
With that said, Lee'tak closed his eyes and went into deep concentration; he first focused his attention on the structure but found nothing but irregular electric fields he could not define. He tried to follow the recognizable caverns and hole-like passages and checked every hollow point below the ground. It was tiring, exhausting and, as always, a real torturing pain on his head. Soon enough he had an expression of effort and suffering as he started to sweat, looking for his best friend.

Kali, trying her best not to distract her love placed her small hand against his shoulder and transfered some of her energy into Lee through her healing powers.

"Where is he?" He whispered in effort, he couldn't find him anywhere inside the structure. He got desperate and started a more broad scan, his respiration took speed and his heart went overdrive as he searched in all directions for that subtle little electric field he hoped he hadn't forgotten. Suddenly he felt it! He got up in reflex scaring Kali, falling on his ass the moment after saying, "He's right below us! He's in some kind of metalic chamber, right below us. Plan anyone?"

With an audible gasp Sen's body jerked and his eyes widened, "Below us? How?"

Kali tried to pull Lee'tak up, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," he smiled at Kali confidently, getting up on her support, "We're not that far from the underground entrance. They must have tunnels all over the place. One of them runs through here and surprise surprise, he's right below us, literally. I'd say twenty feet down or something alike." He sighed. "If he hadn't metal covering him... what do you guys think? He's right there... maybe we can avoid an all out battle BEFORE we rescue him." Lee'tak proposed.

"But... how can we get down there? None of us is a Rockborne..." The Lightborne leaned in, "If there is any light down there I can get him... is there?"

Sen nodded at the woman's question, "Her idea is a smart one."

"No... but I can get it there." Lee'tak sat down again to breathe. "after a little rest. Have I ever told you how I defeated the Rockborne those bastards sent to distract me? Distract me while they fought Warwin of course. " He asked.

"No, but tell us..." Sen said quietly while he sat cross-legged on the ground.

Disappearing, Kaelorra quickly scanned the area and checked the three Bornes and reappeared sitting next to Sen.

"As you know, there is a certain difficulty when a lightningborne tries to fry a rockborne. Like the earth, it's not possible. He's like a human conductor when he's transformed and he just transfers all of it away. I was getting my ass kicked all over the place, cuz speed kinda doesn't cut it when I can't hurt him.
But then I remembered...this once Warwin was struck by a lightning of mine, but he wasn't in contact with the earth so it didn't harm him. But the energy doesn't just go away. It hit me, just as he was about to put me out of my misery, that it conserves! It doesn't harm or burn you but it's still inside you. So I went for it, I used my stick and threw him off a cliff. In mid air, I grabbed on to him and just discharged everything I had. He was laughing at my effort and desperation. I was going to die but he wasn't. Then... his arm disappeared, pushing us into a violent spin. The little electric thingies that hold us together, when filled up with enough electricity... jump out! They just jump out. It was beautiful to hear him scream as he painlessly began to disappear. When his whole body disappeared it felt like an explosion. I was pushed all the way up in the air and managed to grab on the edge of the cliff. I pushed my way up and crawled back to find signs of a battle and Warwin missing." Lee'tak sighed. "I'm thinking that if I'm discharging and controlling it perfectly, I can gather it at certain limited portions and slowly make us a very small hole. I can't do that with metal, dunno why, so when I reach it..." Lee'tak thought for a minute, "I'm thinking of striking it with lightning. I'm sure it'll at least GLOW on the other side. So tell me... can you ride lightning?"

With a face glowing with a blush, Kali stood eagerly, "That I can."

"Then we got ourselves a plan... I'm afraid, though, Warwin's going to have to wait. The Bornes will probably notice if I start discharging lightning in the middle of the night right?" Lee'tak asked. "So we better find camp and I'll wake up at sunrise to get to Wor. We should be ready by sundown tomorrow."

Sen shook his head for a moment before glancing at the unnatural wall then towards the night sky. The fire mixed in with Aesha's fur gave off a slight glow which illuminated their path, "Lets find a place safe for the night then, away from here."

"Yeah. Just gimme a minute." Lee'tak looked around very slowly, rotating completly. When he was back at his original position he said, "Sorry, I don't want to forget the spot. And keep that glow to a minimum please, that's exactly what I wanted to avoid by waiting for daylight." Lee'tak smiled before crouching in front of Kali "C'mon, time for me to show off my amazing legs... by lifting you." he jested.

Kali frowned, "If you need 'amazing legs' to lift me, you're weak." she smiled an instant later and hoped on his back playfully and folded her arms, holding on simply with her knees, "Onward!"

"Lead the way Sen. We'll follow." Lee'tak said, grabbing onto Kali's knees.

The Borne nodded before heading off to the side away from the strange structure into the woods. They continued through the woods until they were completely cutoff from the hills, hidden from view. "We'll stay here tonight." Sen said simply before putting down his own pack and grimacing as he rubbed half healed wounds before starting a small but strong and hot flame out of a pile of old logs.

Lee'tak put Kali and their stuff down and sat next to the fire.

Pulling out a blanket, Kali wraps it around her like a cloak and curls up in a ball beside Lee.

Sen watched her for a moment, petting Aesha before mumbling a goodnight and putting his back to the fire. The Pyre fox however walked into the flame, sitting his rump down in the middle as he prepared to stand watch for the night.

Lee'tak looked at Kali and stroke her hair, smiling content, he kissed her goodnight and closed his eyes, falling asleep momentarely

When the sun was half way up, Lee'tak opened his eyes. He looked around to see his sleeping beauty peacefully dormant. He got up cautiously not to wake them up and headed towards the path they had taken last night. He back tracks it to the spot and quickly checks Warwin's electrical field; it was still there.
Tired and still a bit sleepy, he transformed into his lightning form and crouched on his knees. Lee'tak then slapped his hands together and moved his palms to make some friction and create some static. He didn't know why but that usually helped increasing the power he could discharge. He suddenly let go and slammed his hands into the ground starting his electrical tampering with the earth's constituting elements.
A hole the size of his fist suddenly burst into shape, and another under it, and another; thus the little tunnel went further and further into shape. Lee'tak sighed in effort but also bored. He was pretty nervous about everything. His best friend was trapped in some god forsaken hole probably tortured by the lack of air and by whatever those monsters have done to him. He was also confused, why would they kidnap him anyways? And why keep him for four years, trapped? He sure was happy they kept him alive but why? why? Lee kept thinking about stuff but couldn't concentrate that much on thinking, his focus was on keep his discharging controlled and as the tunnel got deeper, it got tougher to keep it organized and limited.

The next day, same place...

"Alright Kali" - Lee'tak put her down by a small hole. "hole's done. Let's recap, I'll strike a lightning and you will ride it. I count to five and strike again and you will come back. In the very slim chances we get attacked in the process, I'll need you to keep them off alone Sen. But I doubt they have a five second timed reaction IF they even notice us." Lee'tak transforms, "Alright, everyone ready?"

"Wait, wait Lee..." Kali grabbed his arm and looked up at him with wide brown eyes, "I don't need the return lightning, don't tire yourself out. If Warwin is injured I will take care of those before I come back, so maybe, he can help us out with fighting the other three Bornes. If there are... things that can opress me, I can survive on my Light." Kaelorra nudged him in the ribs, "Don't worry 'bout me, I'll be fine."

Sen stood alert with both tomahawks poised ready for anything. His crystal blue eyes were never still and his weight was settling on his toes as Aesha trembled beside his as the flame in his fur blazed.

"What? I don't know about that...vI'm sure they must feed him or something, what if someone notices you? Hum..." Lee'tak found it hard to risk Kali in any way, he thought for a second to make another way sound logically better...

"A lightning hardly tires me Kali," He smiled. "and I doubt anyone would notice Warwin's absence in the minutes we need to get far away. We'll heal him then, It's much less risky."

"But..." Kaelorra smiled to herself, "What if we catch those three Bornes off guard, they think there is only two Bornes when really there are a possible four to fight, I think we can beat them."

Nodding Sen continued to look around caustiously, "I agree with Kali-"

"It's a good strategic move but it has a lot of flaws. There's no timing; we have no idea how bad a shape Warwin is in, which makes the time you need to heal him to flow like a giant wave. Me and Sen could get attacked and die while you're down there taking care of Warwin, there is to say if the bornes are even strong enough." Lee'tak argued. "Besides, when you heal people, you get sick yourself! And tired. And weak, too weak to defend a dehidrated Waterborne if they decide to feed them while you're in there."

Lee'tak took a stop to take a breath; he was way too nervous to continue speaking, but nevertheless, that's what he does. "I do not want to loose the sight of you for more than one minute Kali..." But then he realized something, something that made him feel really stupid. "We can't risk Warwin's safety... he wouldn't be safe out here if he couldn't move." He looked down in slight defeat, "You are right Kali, you must heal him first. But we still need a sign... to let each other know we're ok." Lee'tak proposed, "We'll wait here while you take care of him. If we're found, I'll shoot another lightning at the metal. If anything happens... meet at our sleeping place." He looked at Kali and picked her up in a hug, "For yours and my God's sake be careful... and silent down there."

She hugged him back fiercly and held his face in both her hands, "I'll be okay, " As Kali was being held in the air, her silver hair darkened into gold and her eyes became red, "The three Bornes are still there... and I'm ready."

Lee'tak put her down in front of the little hole. He jumped high and aimed at the little metalic thing at the end of the hole and shot out a lightning.

As the lightning shot down into the hole, Kali crouched then jumped at it as the lightning shot past. It was all over in a soft flash of light... and Kali was gone.

Sen grimaced as he looked down into the hole then sighed, "I hope Warwin will do as she asks."

"She knows my favourite colour so it'll be alright. Trust him." Lee'tak told Sen, sitting down.

Below in the little cave, a flash of light takes the room by surprise, illuminating Warwin who had his eyes closed, like always, and only noticed the sound. In the little corner of the room, he almost flinches but almost immediately he dismissed it.

"I can't believe I'm already loosing my mind..." He commented to himself, or at least tried to in his muffled and dry throat.

The strange thing was... even with his eyes closed, there was something more. A light that couldn't be dismissed by his closed eyes. He again dismisses it as an illusion and turns his head away, towards one of the walls.

Kaelorra walked slowly toward the still form of the Borne, the light behind her outlining her child-like body as she kept the light pulsing, keeping her life in that light and stopped before Warwin. Glowing in her element, Kali lifted off from the ground and floated upside down to be able to see his face. When he didn't open his eyes she closed her's also and shuddered from the pain she could feel emanating from him. Kali tried to speak, but found she could not because of her preserving her life's light, so instead she used her healing powers to speak within his mind,

Warwin...

Warwin lifted his head a bit looking at her with eyes closed, He hummed for a moment and then said, "Hum... a Lightborne. Who are you? What do you want?" He asked, calm.

I have come to free you, if you will let me, Kali said as she opened her eyes happily in response, - and heal you... Lee'tak and I have been looking for you for a very long time. I am glad to see you in better condition then I had first thought.

He coughed at his best friend's name. "Lee'tak-" he whispered... but no, he couldn't believe in fortune so easily. "Tell me, how can I trust you...?" he struggled for a moment to remember something, it was on the tip of his tongue but at the same time so hard to recall, "What is Lee'tak's favourite color?"

The little Lightborne couldn't help herself as she laughed pleasantly, Why, the color of money of course! She quieted her giggles and returned to a more serious mood, If you don't believe me still, open your eyes and look into mine... When Warwin didn't respond to that, Kali raised her hands in a pleading gesture. Please, see the love that I have for him within my eyes, for I am not the child that you might think I to be.

Warwin cracked a little smile, he didn't remember the right answer but he was sure he would recognize it and he did. He opened his eyes as instructed, blinded by the small light coming from Kali. But his eyes quickly accostumed and he stared deeply and critically into Kali. After a few seconds he asked, "Where is Lee'tak?"

Above this chamber, outside your prison with our companion, a Fireborne who says he knows who you are... and that he needed to find you. She smiled lightly at Warwin, I am Kali, Her smile brightened, -and as you can see I am a Lightborne and a healer, or else I would not be communicating with you in this fashion... She paused for a moment before watching the Borne's reaction, Our companion's name is Sen.

Communicating in this fashion is less tiring. I have also heard of Sen, I am glad you all met on your way here. What is your plan?

She pulled her knees up to her chest upside down, wrapping her arms around them while she relayed to Warwin their plan, If I may, can I heal you?

Please do. He thought, thankfull.

Kali sighed softly, the feel of Warwin's wounds still thudding painfully against her chest, I wish you to understand something... She knelt beside him and laid a hand on his cheek, -the burden of the healer is a hard price to pay and I will give you my all, and more. Somehow I feel that something bad is going to happen soon in this world, Sen mentioned something of the like. I am willing to heal you, because I feel you are of more importance then I... even if it kills me, Kali paused for a second as she forced her body to stay still and not tremble as it wanted and wiped away a tear.

Even if it kills me, She repeated, I WILL set you free, just... bring my b-body back to Lee, and... tell him I love him. Kali sent a prayer to Josefene and to anyone else that might listen before she focused her mind power on the problem in front of her. The light in the cave flashed and shimmered as it surrounded her like a storm, it's intensity causing her hair and clothing to flutter. She closed her eyes and bent her head, her hands becoming fists at her sides as she stood in a fluid movement. Preparing to use her power to its limit, Kali's eyebrow's twitched as she summoned the anger and the willpower needed to complete the task at hand. The light's tornado-like formation went even faster as Kali's mouth opened in a feral snarl and she threw her hands out in front of her as she forced the light into Warwin. The Borne was lifted up gently as the transfer of energies began from Kaelorra to Warwin.

Suddenly the light dimmed then vanished as what had seemed like mere minutes turned out to be twenty and Warwin found himself on the ground, with only a few bruises not healed but otherwise mostly intact.

The Lightborne lay crumpled to one side, unconscience and splayed lifelessly on the ground, no breath rising from her chest.

Warwin got up, seeking that faint light he had seen in his almost unconscious state. But everything was dark; he finally crouched and guessed she'd be laid besides his once weakling body. He followed her hair up to her face then cautiously turned her around and put his ear on her chest. "No heart beat. Think think... Ah! Wait, I remember I once healed a man by...water into air, oxygen, pump her blood, pump her heart. Yes!" He closed his eyes and put his right hand on her chest concentrating as much as he could, straining himself, it had been a while. If only he had water in him to give her air, if only the air around him was enough for him to absorb it as water and so on. But no, all he could use was her water... but he quickly found out her heart had stopped minutes ago, not seconds.

"Gah... I will not let you die..." He said, more to himself than to her, he knew he couldn't make it, but he could never look in Lee'tak's eyes again if he didn't try.

"Warwin, put her down, I can save her-"

The voice echoed through the cave as a soft light began to glow infront of the Borne as Krissin the Mulitborne Goddess appeared before Warwin. The light was weak and the Goddess looked tired, but she was still there. "I had to intervene and I am bound to it, for sacrifice has rewards..."

"My lady..." he commented in marvel and respect. "At last I hear your wise voice again. My most humble but honest thanks for any help you can provide."

"Warwin." Krissin said tenderly, gracing him with a small smile, "You have ever been faithful and I wish to apologize for my silence, but my attention has been forced other ways... now, to heal this Lightborne..." The Goddess placed her hand on Kali's pale forehead which began to glow with silver light. The ceiling began to glow with that same light as it fused with black, purple, green, blue, red, and yellow light and formed a silloetted of a small girl; Kali. As the spirit settled back into the once vacant body the glow enveloped her like living fire and her chest began to rise and color returned to her cheeks. Krissin smiled again, "I have returned her," She said simply and in a soft blink of darkness Krissin was gone and Warwin was once more alone with the Lightborne.

Warwin watched the whole thing passivly, it did not touch him the least that show of colours and magic powers. But he was glad to see Lee'tak's sweetheart alright. He was quick to show concern....his way:
"Welcome back you stupid, foolish girl." He attacked. "Tell me... what made you think it was alright to give your life for mine? You were lucky the Goddess Krissin decided to show some benevolence." He sighed at his stupidity since she was not even conscious to listen to reason. He nodded his head and picked her up like a bride taking her into a corner where she would not be seen if a guard or something came to check it out. Krissin had been WAY too flashy, someone might have noticed.
As fate would have it, he heard a key unlocking the door. He was still thirsty as hell on a summer but he was healed now. He jumped and rolled on the floor while the door screeched open, for the first time in year. He saw as two men got in holding a torch. He saw them notice Kali and instinctively move towards her. Warwin loved instinct, it made fools out of warriors most of the times. he could only imagine what ran through their heads and how cold their spines were when the screeches of the door being closed sounded off.
He grabbed their necks and swiftly drained all their water and oxygen under two minutes. He let go of their dry dust like bodies and proceeded to wake up Kali.
He again put his right hand on her chest and pumped up her oxygen and water distribution speeding up her biologic clock and, basically, her various organs’ functions.
After ten minutes, her heart rate and breathing was regular and she finally seemed to be awake.

Eyes fluttering Kali moaned then seeing Warwin above her she gasped and tried to weakly squirm out of his grasp, "Lemme go! Lemme go!" She growled at him before gripping his arm and sinking in her teeth. "Who are you!? Tell me before I do some damage!" She demanded, though muffled through Warwin's arm.

He didn't even scream as he calmly said, "My name is Warwin, I wasn't even grabbing you... I had my palm on your chest. You were unconscious, I brought you back to conscienceness." Warwin waited for a few more seconds before saying, "You should try letting go of my arm... some people would call biting a hostile action. But I am sure we both agree it is rude to bite people who help us."

She let go with a snarl and scappered into a different corner with her back to the wall, glaring at Warwin through her silver bangs, "Why am I in here, I WANT OUT!" Growling, her brown eyes started to lighten to red before they stopped and she cocked her head, "Why are you in here?"

"I am a Waterborne, I should hope you remember what that means and also who you are. I am a friend of Lee'tak. Lee'tak, does that name ring any bells?"

"Waterborne? Lee'tak?" She looked on clueless for a few moments before a lightbulb went off, "Waterborne... Warwin you said your name was? Who am I?"

"Your name is Kali, you are a Lightborne. You have lost your memory in trade for your life. My friend, Lee'tak, can take care of that but first we need to get to him. I have a feeling you came from above..." he pointed upwards. "-think hard Kali, try to remember your past, at least your powers."

Kali looked up and stared hard at the ceiling, "I can feel other Bornes up there..." She stood, still a little cautious about Warwin as she paced around the small cell, thinking. "My powers..." She whispered to herself, "-Light." Clasping her hands together, Kali glared at them for a moment before she looked up at Warwin, her gaze full of hidden anger, "So I am supposed to get us out?" She didn't wait for an answer before she spread her hands outwards, a stream of light exploding between her palms as she smirked, "I think I'm ready."

"I was not talking about fighting our way out Kali, I hope that is not what you have in mind either."

She looked up surprised, "I can fight?" Kali suppressed the urge to giggle insanely before she grabbed a rock from the ground and tossed it in the air. When it reached its zenith, Kali struck out with her light and the rock disappeared to reappear above Warwin's head as it dropped. Kali laughed, "I think I got it now, I can transfer our light signatures anywhere I want to."

Warwin grabbed the rock as it was hitting his head. He let it fall while commenting, "Amusing... take us up then, next to the other Bornes you've sensed."

"Heh, heh, heh... " Kali chuckled softly, grabbed onto Warwin and caused them to disappear, then reappear above ground. "Ah! LIGHT!" Kali bathed in the light in total ecstasy before Sen cleared his throat.

"Um, Kali, what are you doing?"

Oblivious to Kali's predictement, Warwin and Lee'tak eyed each other in disbelief. Lee'tak smiled widely with a tear going down his face. "Warwin..."
"I knew you would come for me, my friend." Warwin comments. Lee'tak grabbed him in a hug and lift him in the air in relief and contentment. "You're here! I've finally found you! You're saved, your alive, you're here!" Lee'tak started to blabber beyond the recognizable until Warwin slapped his head with considerable strength.

"What makes you think I'm ready to go through this physical abuse?"

"I'm sorry man," Lee'tak said, putting him down and letting him go. "I'm just really happy to see you."

"You cannot even begin to imagine how trully happy I feel right now, but there are such things as priorities. For example, did you not notice your love acting strangely?"

Lee'tak looked past Warwin to see Kali way too excited about being up here, "You're right, what's up?"

"She killed herself to heal me, and then Goddess Krissin healed her back with a magic show but she lost her memory."

"That sucks... YO Kali!" Lee'tak called out, walking towards her.

Kali flipped around to look at Lee'tak with a blank expression, "Do I know you?"

Lee'tak grabbed his chest and comically complained, "Ouch! You will in a minute. My name is Lee'tak, may I approach you and try to get back your memories?"

Jumping back away from him, the Lightborne glared at him, "Touch me and you will feel the pain of my teeth."

"What?" Lee'tak asked, confused.

"She bites..." Warwin commented showing his arm.

"Uhh... I definetely don't want that. Look, do you know who you are? What you are? What WE are to you and what YOU are to us. Your life, family, where you came from? I can help you find out. It won't hurt and It'll be reasonably fast."

Kali looked at them both suspiciously before curtly nodding, "-fine. Whatever."

"If it stings in the slightest, you can bite me." Lee'tak smiled kindly and aproached her cautiously. He put his hands around her head and concentrated. He looked and looked while little static lightnings showed up now and then between his palms and her head. After 5 minutes he opened his eyes scared and asked:

"Where the heck are your memories??"

She shrugged, moving slightly to put some distance between them, "You tell me. I don't know where they went."

Sen, quiet for the moment, spoke up. "You said that Krissin brought her back to life? Why would she take her memories too?"

"To piss me off!" Lee'tak shouted, annoyed. "I can't believe this!"

Warwin slapped him out of nowhere, "Calm down Lee'tak! They can hear us!"

"She lost her memories! She doesn't know who I am!" Lee'tak dispaired. "Oh my god...WAIT! Maybe I can make her see mine. At least she won't be so lost..."

"Why are you talking to me? She's right behind you."

"Sorry sorry, didn't meant to ignore you. It's just...we're really close, you and me." Lee'tak frowned saying this, he just could not believe what was happening. But he quickly changed his plan. He couldn't give her memories or tell her about them, it would make her feel awkward. "We were great friends." He added.

"Great friends?" She repeated with one eyebrow raised and her arms crossed, "With a blundering idiot like you?" She leaned sideways so she could see Warwin, "Is he serious?" Kali sighed irritably, "My Goddess, I am surrounded by fools."

Sen stood up at that, "Now wait just a minute..."

Lee'tak bowed his head, defeated.

"I say we get out of here. Kali, there are three other Bornes here, very dangerous ones who are out to kill us.
You have no memory of your abilties, I'm at half my capacity. I say we go to whatever sanctuary you dug up and talk about this there." Warwin proposed, starting to walk.

"We might be fools, but we at least know what a Borne is." Lee'tak argued in a bored voice. "We know who you are, what we are doing here and how you lost your memory... you know how to parade yourself in public for just a few sun rays. I wonder who the fools are." He followed Warwin's tail obviously aware they were already pushing their luck as it were, they had to get out of there now.

"Well, I'm no fool... come on Aesha." Sen whistled softly and the Pyre fox bounded after him as they both followed Warwin and Lee'tak.

Kali however glared after them with a red tinge in her eyes. How DARE they talk to her like that, she wasn't a fool, they were and she didn't need them. Growling at their general direction, Kali turned and walked the opposite way they had gone into another part of the forest.

Lee'tak looked back and growled, "Dang it! Sen, lead Warwin to the sleeping place will yah? I'll try and get her." He ran and in a second he was walking besides her, finally transforming back. He made sure he started to talk first. "Me, you and the guy with the Pyre fox we call Sen came here to save Warwin... apparently, you gave your life to heal him almost completly. The Goddess Krissin seems to have reanimated you with but a flaw... your memories. They are absolutly gone." He explained, calmly and respectfully. He had to remember she didn't know him.

She looked sideways at him and snarled before she continued walking.

Meanwhile, Warwin stated to Sen, "You're the other chosen Krissin spoke of."

The Fireborne nodded gravely while they retraced their steps, "Yes... I am Sen Pyrestorm and this is Aesha, my elemental creature..." Sen turned to look back in the direction Kali and Lee had gone and sighed, "If it weren't for them I wouldn't be here now, not even Krissin would have interfered..."

"I never doubted Lee'tak. In truth, I trust him over anything and anyone. Even Krissin. His determination is... well, has Krissin told anything about what it is we have to do? I stopped hearing her after my second year captive."

Sen nodded, "I don't know if you know this, but she has been becoming weaker as of late and her hold on the portal door is slipping. I was hunting Jqura when they ambushed me, but I managed to kill them all before my strength left me. They were working with the demons and taking out unaware Bornes... As well as one of your fellow Waterborne's down near the Eiiridoc desert, keeping water fro m the locals to try and weaken the people down there, so Aesha took care of him for me." Sen fingered one of his bells for a moment before continuing, "The time of the demon war is soon, Krissin doens't think she will last the season."

"Things are worse than I thought then." Warwin thought out loud. "Are there any more chosen? Any more helpful Bornes Krissin warned you about?" he asked.

Shaking his head, "No, she didn't... but she keeps her own secrets..." The Borne shrugged for a moment before sighing, "Do you think we can do this?"

"It matters not what I think. Krissin thinks so and has struggled to get us all together for that intent. I trust her judgement. I would like to know, though, who kidnapped me and why... not to mention why they did not kill me. Perhaps they know of us and had me as bait to catch you. In that case four years is a long time to wait which means our enemy has gone through great trouble to get us and I doubt he's a demon. Demons don't employ Bornes as far as I know. What do you think? Any ideas?"

"Actually..." Sen replied softly, "They have done that before in Krissin's realm, so she has warned me, we can't trust everyone."

Meanwhile, already a considerable distance from Warwin and Sen, Lee'tak talked with Kali. "Trust us."

She whirled around to face him with fiery anger in her eyes, "WHY!? Because you say I am someone you know, so I should trust you? For all I know you are all plotting against me!"

He looked right back at her eyes, unafraid and serious, "What happened to that thing you females have? The sixth sense? Look into my eyes Kali. You know my story makes sense and you know... you know me." He looked at her, not being able to keep the serious face but letting out a little smile.

Kali looked into his eyes for a long time before her stance relaxed and her eyes softened, "I don't know what to think," She admitted quietly and she finally looked away to the far off hills. "There are certain things I remember but then again, there are certain things I don't-" Kali took up Lee's gaze once more as she searched his eyes for the answers she didn't have. "I... will trust you. But there is something that has been nagging me." She turned her back on him and folded her arms over her ribs, "There is an anger inside of me... I, it scares me, and something tells me that I was not like this before..." She said all this barely above a whisper, "And... I have the feeling we were more then just friends..." Kali turned slightly to look over her shoulder at him, "Weren't we?"

Lee'tak smiled and aproached her, putting his hand over her shoulder. He said comfortably, "Don't worry about that now. One thing at a time. What's important is we owe our lives to each other, numerous times over. I met you during my search for my long lost best friend Warwin. We searched for him for years, this one being the fourth. In that time we became really close. Even now, considering the circunstances, I would trust you with my life. Even now I'm sure I'd die for you... We found Sen a few days ago; we don't know his specific intentions, we only know they're good ones." Lee'tak adds, trying to explain to Kali what's going on. "Anger? Maybe it's just some frustration. You're entitled to your anger, I mean, you lost your memory, you're not sure of anything. But if there is something new in you which you don't want, we can face it together and beat the crap out of it. You see, you giving your life to fully heal Warwin... that's just like you. You are not a bad person, a bad guy. And I assure you neither are we."

"I'm sorry for acting the way I did, its just, I couldn't help it, I was so angry, at something I can't identify..." Kali closed her eyes and leaned her head a little toward Lee's hand, "I wish I could understand whats going on." Small tears of frustration spilled down her cheeks as she angrily rubbed them away.

Lee'tak thought for a few seconds, choosing the words carefully, finally saying with a comforting voice, "Don't worry Kali, it'll all be alright." He let go of her shoulder and stretched out his hand over her shoulder and across her cheek, "Come, take my hand. Trust me."

Kali opened her eyes, now clear of sadness and frustration and took his hand, "I trust you."

"Then come on, let's get back to the others." He said smiling.

"Well..." Warwin commented. "If they're employed by demons we have to kill them. Makes me sick, affiliated to demons..."

Sen agreed, "I didn't like having Aesha go kill that Borne, but it had to be done." The Pyre fox announced Lee'ak's and Kali's return with a short bark.

"Finally, are you okay Kaelorra?" Warwin asked.

"Kaelorra?" Kali cocked her head slightly, "Oh, thats me... Um yes, I'm okay. I guess." Her hold on Lee's hand tightened then relaxed as she grew more comfortable in the other Borne's presence.

"Warwin" Lee'tak reminded himself. "Llyre is around here, in the mountains people say."

"What? She is? Hurry then, help me call her."

"Alright." Lee'tak said excited. "Wait a sec a kali, watch this." he said, letting go of her hand. He and Warwin approached till they were facing each other.

"It's been so long since I last transformed." Warwin commented before straining himself to transform. From feet to hair his body transforms, his hair turns blue; his eyes lighten and narrow as his body also gains fins.

"Ahhhh," he sighed of relief "Let's do this."

Lee'tak smiled and slapped his hands together, created some friction and stressed out his muscles as he brought his hands farther and farther from each other; in the middle, electricity jolted and bolted trying to get out of some invisible dome Lee'tak was maintaining.

"C'mon, can't hold it for long" Lee'tak said, when it was the size of two tenis balls. Warwin positioned his hands above and below and condensed the air around the energy ball. Lee'tak stepped backwards, bringing his hands back with the palms pointing at the wet energy ball.

"This is the only way I know off to keep an energy ball contained. Otherwise it'll just fire off everywhere." Lee'tak explained still struggling. Warwin rolled his hands to put them in the position Lee'tak had his and then moved his arms up sending the ball flying all the way up. When it's really high, Lee'tak closes his hands the energy explodes in loud and luminescent fireworks.

"OH CRAP!" Lee'tak shouted in reflex, slapping his forehead. "We're so stupid! What have we done?!"

"Alerted the Borne's thats what! What are we going to do now?" Kali yelled, looking from Borne to Borne, "We've alerted them to our very presence!"

"Keep your cool. We can take them." Warwin assured his friends. "Their elements are Venom, Ice and Void."

"I'll take Ice." - Lee'tak said firmly.

"Of course you will, dispatch him as quickly as possible than help Kali with the Venom one. Me and Sen will take care of the Void while our elemental beasts take care of all the normal enemies. Everyone okay with that?" Warwin planned coherently but as fast as possible.

"Wait," Sen replied, "I want the Void, I have a power that he cannnot match..." One of Sen's bells tinkled meekly.

Kali looked up to the sky, "Warwin, where's your creature?"

"Fine Sen, I'll help Kali then." Warwin said before an eagle's screech sounded out. "She's coming. Get ready everyone." He took out his shirt and grabbed on to a tip, filling it up with water; soon it was as heavy as metal, he waved it around his head and hit the ground denting it into a crater. "This'll work as a weapon."

Lee'tak took their luggage off his stick moved it around a bit and before a minute had passed a shadow covers them. Above them passed Llyre; she circled their position twice before descending.

She was an overgrown eagle with blue and silvered plumage and tail dripping water. She landed on the ground and approached Warwin with little feet, bowing down the head to him who hugged it praising, “I’ve missed you so much…” He let go of her. “You’re more beautiful than ever. But there’s no time now. Look, this is Kaelorra a Lightborne and Sen a Fireborne. They are friends. Three enemy Bornes are on the way and we are going to kill them. You must ally yourself with Sen’s Pyre fox and take care of the human warriors, got that?” She waved her head down and up shooting out a water blast upwards to show her warrior spirit. “Good girl, go.” Just like that, she took up flight and disappeared above. “She’ll dive down and help you when you find the humans.” Warwin told Aesha.

The Pyre fox barked a short reply before slinking off into the shadows, the fire in his fur seeming to disappear.

Kali prepared herself by unsheathing her saber and looking at it for a moment before swinging it around. After a few minutes her hands remembered their skill as her moves got more complex. Stopping, Kali propped her sword up on her shoulder and sighed; waiting.

Lee'tak suddenly flipped his stick around, rotating it three times in front of Kali breaking three ice spikes. He turned to the unknown position of the enemy Borne and shot out a lightning, "I'll be right back!" He sped off leaving nothing but electric static in the air behind him.

"Kaelorra, be cautious in your fighting. Sen, don't risk your neck. Let's go." Warwin said.

The Fireborne smirked slightly, "Me? Risk my neck? Heck no. I'll just kick some Borne ass."

Her eyes glowed crimson briefly as she growled. Kali transformed in a brilliance of light, becoming one with her element and appearing as a ghost. Her body was see-through and the colors of her transformation muted as she leapt into the air, soaring into the sky to scout for the hidden Bornes.

Warwin watched her closely, waiting for a warning as to the Bornes' whereabouts. Meanwhile Lee'tak, in his dash, dodged three other ice spikes before encountering the Iceborne. He just kept running, dodged a punch and tried to grab him. But this time the borne dodged him. Lee'tak hit the brakes and looked at him. "It ain't gonna be that easy zappy." The Iceborne spat out.

"You're right, it'll be easier. Taste it frosty!" Lee'tak shouted pointing his arms at the Borne and firing off a discharge of lightnings. The Iceborne constructed a little ice wall and backed away as all the discharge was carried down to the ground. "I killed your pet already. You also want to die? All we want is Warwin!" The Iceborne asked, threatening.
"You killed Scorpio?" he waved his stick and attacked the massive ice wall with one blow that brought it crumbling down. "Now I'm PISSED!"

Looking around, Sen concentrated on finding the one that would be difficult; the Voidborne. He lifted up one of his twin tomahawks and eyed the bell at the end before shaking it once, its tiny sound ringing out meekly, "Power, don't fail me now..." the Borne whispered while closing his eyes as he opened up his mind. Kali's Borne aura stood out in the sky while Warwin stood behind him. Lee'tak and the Iceborne were fighting off to the right. The Venom was a ways off but the Void was definatly closer.

Lee'tak swung his stick at the Borne's head but the Iceborne backed up with a hop while making an ice sword out of his arm which he used to try and decapitate Lee'tak.
He dodged it in the last second, ending up with a small cut on his cheek.

"ENOUGH! I've had ENOUGH!" Lee'tak shouted, hitting the ground with his stick. A lightning wave discharged in the Borne's direction, he again constructed an ice wall and backed up laughing. But he didn’t laugh that much because Lee’tak was already on him, with a terrified look. The Iceborne’s head was gripped tight by Lee’tak who had gone around the wall and was now pulling the Ice's head with him in a run.

“OH NO!” The Iceborne shouted. "You know what’s coming don’t yah?” Lee’tak asked, bashing the Borne's head through a tree without stopping his sprint.

“See anything Kali?” Warwin asked out loud.

Kali's upper lip twitched in anger as she stared down at Lee's and the Ice's battle but she changed her focus to the other two Borne's. She almost spoke before she realized that might not be the best idea,

Warwin, the Venomborne is still by the wall of your prison, but the Voidborne is almost upon you! Sen is preparing to take him, I'm getting you out of there!

Disappearing, Kali's form flickered from the sky to the ground, where she just barely grabbed the Waterborne in time. Right as she made him like she was, part of an illusion of light, the Voidborne nulled the ground which Warwin had stood upon, making the image of Kali and Warwin split into three pieces.

Sen's eyes widened as he watched their image shatter and relaxed when they reappeared floating above him, then disappearing again.

Pulling free his other tomahawk, Sen let the small bells ring as he crouched into his fighting stance, waiting for the Voidborne.

"Let's take the Venomborne Kali." Warwin said.

Meanwhile:

"You're gonna pay Frosty!" Lee'tak shouted as he cleared the forest and head for the small fortress. All the Ice borne did was scream out his guts and lungs as he got violently carried away through the bushes and now air.

Finally, they reach the wall and Lee'tak just smashes him against it, breaking it on the area where the Borne's body hit. Still holding onto him, Lee'tak dropped the stick and grabbed his face with the other hand. "Get ready to die."

The Venomborne skidded to a halt as he saw Lee and the Iceborne and threw up his hands, sending a huge glob of venom hissing at terrible speeds straight at them.

Blinking into existance behind the Venomborne, Kali dropped Warwin who became solid once he hit the ground and with a fearful expression on her face flew as fast as she could back toward Lee'tak. She managed to just get infront of it right as the Venom hit the prison wall, and the Iceborne.

Warwin landed and immiediatly waved his weapon around trying to hit the Venomborne who dodged it shooting off little blobs of venom while he was at it. Warwin rolled to the side with the venom barely scratching his skin and then hosed the Venomborne against the wall with violent force.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME?" Warwin shouted as he hosed him with just enough pressure to keep him stuck.

The Iceborne received the glob right in the chest. It started to corrode his body as he fell to the ground writhing in pain and agony, screaming. Lee'tak watched it all untill it was over, a minute after. "I don't care, that's still my kill." he jested.

Kali smirked slightly, the two Bornes in the air above the compound looking down at Warwin.

The Borne, even in the middle of the pressurized jet of water, smiled widely and effortful replied, "That's for me to know...and for you to find out!" He shouted at the end spitting out poison. Warwin leaned his face leftwards as the spit passed by him and hit the ground.
"You're pathetic." Warwin coldly said as he brought up the jet to the borne's face and strengthen it. Suddenly, the water turned red when it reached the venomborne, the water jet was tearing his face apart. A crack showed up on the wall and a minute later, it was over.

"I won dirtbag."

With a grim face, Kaelorra set Lee and herself back on the ground, looking at both of the Borne bodies and sighed softly, "This is hard to bear."

"You get used to it." Lee'tak commented. "Second time I tell you that hehe..."

"Why are you talking?" Warwin asked them seriously judgemental. "There's still a voidborne back there. Let's go." He said moving out. "A little bossy aren't we?" Lee'tak complained. "Shut up." The Waterborne requested forcefully.

"I thought Sen said he could handle him?" The Lightborne said before running to catch up to them.

Sen stood over the fallen Voidborne's corpse with a grim look on his face. Yes, the Voidborne had been powerful, more than a Voidborne should have been, but had been. It still was no match to his power. It was the mark he had found on the Borne's arm that made him feel uneasy. No, uneasy was the wrong description of this emotion, Sen thought to himself, this made him feel the raw emotion of fear.

Along the Voidborne's arm was the reddened skin of a scar.

It was almost human like, almost, except for the huge claw marks and the missing pinky that made up the handprint. It was the sign of the demon.

As the other three came closer, another figure came into view coming from the oposite direction. She paused when she saw the Borne bits strewn around, then continued toward Sen.

Not caught unaware, the Borne raised his head quickly and glared into the trees around him, "Who's there?"

"An enemy of your enemies," came the reply, "My name is Vaera."
